Austin Boylan grew up in Minden, and spent much of his youth playing hockey. When Covid shut down the arenas, he accepted an invitation to play for the Ontario Astros. He has focused on baseball ever since.
At sixteen he was invited to the Canadian Futures Showcase, hosted by the Toronto Blue Jays, where he earned Player of the Game with two triples and three RBIs. As a teenager, Austin was drafted to play for the Ontario Blue Jays summer team, where he batted .391 and scored 4 home runs. Austin has participated in the Marucci World Series Home Run Derby, the PBR Junior Future Games, and was selected as a CPBL PG All Star.
Austin enjoyed a successful career through his high school years with the Barrie Baycats, and now plays NCAA Division 1 baseball for North Dakota State University.
